Hailing from the picturesque Hulhulia village in the Keralakata union of Kalaroa Upazila, Feroz Ahmed Swapan is no stranger to the pulse of his constituency. The son of Late Abdul Karim, Swapan has carved a niche for himself as a respected and competent public representative. His political career began with the chairmanship of Keralakata Union Parishad, and he further solidified his position as a leader by founding the Kalaroa Upazila Chhatra League.

An alumnus of Kalaroa Government College, Swapan’s academic background reflects his dedication to personal growth and knowledge. His leadership journey continued as he assumed the role of President of Kalaroa Government College Chhatra League and later served as the convener of Satkhira District Chhatra League. His multifaceted roles, including being the former organizer of Kalaroa Upazila Awami League, demonstrate a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the political landscape.

Feroz Ahmed Swapan, the current President of Kalaroa Upazila Awami League, has earned a place in the hearts of the people as an honest and talented representative. Known for standing by the common people in various positive activities, Swapan is a true advocate for the welfare and development of his constituency. In his own words, he states, “I am a soldier of the ideals of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Deshratna Sheikh Hasina.”

In reference, Satkhira-1 (Tala-Kolaroa) constituency was occupied by Awami League in 1973, 1986, 1996 and 2008. Advocate Mustafa Lutfullah of Jamaat-e-Islami won in 1991, Jatiya Party in 1988 and Workers Party supported by 14-party alliance in 2014 and 2018. The 105 (Satkhira-1) seats of the Jatiya Sangsad consists of 24 unions and one municipality under Tala and Kalaroa upazilas of Satkhira. The total number of voters in this constituency is 4 lakh 17 thousand 891. Of these, 2,04,818 are female voters and 2,13,073 are male voters.
